Tool kit and accessories The compartment under the seat holds: an Owner's manual; a helmet fastening cable; a tool bag for normal maintenance and checks. To reach this compartment, remove the seat first (page 27) then the protective cover (1, fig. MAIN MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS

Removing the fairing (fig. 42) To be able to carry out some service or repair operations, it is necessary to remove some parts of the fairing. Warning Failure to refit or incorrectly refitting one of the parts removed might cause it to suddenly come off while the vehicle is running, thus making the rider lose control of the vehicle.

Removing the headlight fairing Loosen and remove the two fastening screws (1) on the headlight support. Note Make sure to collect all check nuts of the screws (1), that are inside the headlight fairing. Remove the headlight fairing (2).

Lifting the fuel tank Warning Make sure the fuel in the tank is less than 5 litres or fuel may leak out through the filler plug breather. Remove the seat (page 27) and lift the hook (1, fig. Lift the tank and unhook the service rod (2, fig. When you have finished, reverse the above procedure to refit. Warning When lowering the tank, make sure lines are properly routed to avoid squeezing.
