FILL-IN FLASH In this operating mode, the flash is activated if the user wishes to photograph subjects with sunlight coming from the side or from the rear. FLASH OFF This operating mode prevents the flash from operating and thus allows photographs to be taken using available light in places where the use of flash photography is prohibited. If you wish to avoid any blurring of the picture, we recommend the use of a tripod. This ensures a depth of focus over a large focusing range. For dark exposure conditions, such in the evening or at night, the shutter opening time should be increased and a tripod used to reduce camera shake. NIGHT EXPOSURE PORTRAIT MODE If a photograph is to be taken of a subject in the dark, a long exposure can be used.
