While playing the music you want to sing along with, turn the input 1 and 2 knobs clockwise until the red peak LEDs just above input 1 is flashing occasionally. Turn the outputs knob up until your mixer (or amp) is receiving the proper level from the DP/2. Press the {SELECT} button, and then the {CONFIG} button. If the red LEDs in the {A}, {B}, {C} and {D} buttons light up, press {CONFIG} again. Use the data entry knob to dial in #56, Vocal Remover. Press {>} until the "2000" in "Mid Fc=2000" is flashing. Turn the data entry knob up and down to find the best setting for reducing the volume of the lead vocal. Small changes in this setting can be the key to success!Note: If the vocal you're trying to remove has been processed with reverb or other effects, it may not be possible to remove it entirely. 2. While playing your keyboard, turn the input 1 knob clockwise until the red peak LED just above it is flashing occasionally. If your keyboard's stereo, turn up input 2's knob as well. Turn the outputs knob up until your amp (or mixer) is receiving the proper level from the DP/2. Press the {EDIT} button, and then the {CONFIG} button. As you speak, the keyboard notes take on the shapes of your words, and yet your voice has no effect on the pitch of the notes (nor is it directly heard in the mix). Tip: You'll find the vocoder works best when the keyboard notes and your voice are in a similar pitch range. 4.
