Basic loading capacity for special media is explained below. EPSON 360 dpi Ink Jet Paper and Photo Quality Ink Jet Paper You can load up to 70 sheets of special coated paper into the sheet feeder. If you plan to print on Super A3/B or A2 size special coated paper, do not load more than 30 sheets into the sheet feeder. Also, do not load paper in the sheet feeder above the red line on the right edge guide. You can load up to 30 index cards into the sheet feeder. If you plan to print on paper larger than A3 size, you can load up to 5 sheets. Before loading glossy paper into the sheet feeder, always put a support sheet under the stack of glossy paper. u 5 EPSON Photo Quality Ink Jet Card EPSON Photo Quality Glossy Paper Paper Handling 5-23 EPSON Photo Quality Glossy Film For best results, you should load glossy film one sheet at a time. Before loading glossy film into the sheet feeder, always put a support sheet* under the glossy film. If you wish to load multiple sheets of glossy film, load only up to 30 sheets. You can load one sheet at a time from the manual feed slot. To ensure the professional appearance of your printout and for ease of use with banner paper, the optional Banner Paper Cutter is recommended. When printing on index cards, please note the following: u Make sure that the adjust lever is set to the + position before you load index cards. The adjust lever is located inside the printer. See "Setting the adjust lever" on page 5-19. You can insert up to 30 index cards into the sheet feeder. Load index cards short edge first with the printable side up. When you load index cards, remove the rear edge guide and re-install it to match the length of the cards as shown below. u u 5 Paper Handling 5-25 u Make sure the printable side of the paper is loaded correctly. For the sheet feeder, load cards with the printable surface down; for the manual feed slot, load cards with the printable surface up. c u Caution: Do not touch the printable surface of the paper. The moisture or oils on your fingers can decrease the print quality. You may be able to select 720 dpi if your DOS program supports 720-dpi printing.
