It functions in two ways: first as a step by step guide to help you operate the meter; second, it serves as a handy reference guide. This manual is written to cover as many anticipated applications of the Salt 6 salinity meter as possible. To avoid contamination or dilution of your sample, rinse probe with a small volume of your sample liquid. Allow time for the reading to stabilize. NOTE: When dipping the probe into the sample, take care to ensure that the liquid level is above its upper steel band. Stir the probe gently in the sample to create a homogenous sample.
