This action will stop shredder immediately. · Avoidtouchingexposedcuttingbladesundershredderhead. · Donotputforeignobjectsinpaperentry. · Thegroundedsocket-outletshallbeinstalledneartheequipmentand shall be easily accessible. 15 15 15 TO TEST SAFESENSE® TECHNOLOGY OPERATION SET-UP AND TESTING 1 2 3 Press Auto-On (I) Touch test area and look for the SafeSense® indicator to illuminate Sensor lights up 1 BASIC SHREDDING OPERATION PAPER 9 Disconnect power switch must be in ON (I) position to operate shredder. Insert waste bag (Fellowes #36052) for easy disposal. 10 1 2 3 4 5 Continuous operation: 3-5 minute maximum NOTE: Shredder runs briefly after each pass to clear entry. Continuous operation beyond 3-5 minutes will trigger 15-minute cool down period. Set to Off (O) and plug in CARD 10 Check paper amount Set to Auto-On (l) Feed into paper entry and release Set to Off (O) 10 1 2 3 4 5 Set to Off (O) and plug in Set to Auto-On (l) Hold card at edge Feed into center of entry and release Set to Off (O) TROUBLESHOOTING Paper jam: Set to Off (O), remove shredder head and empty bin. Replace shredder head, and follow any or all of the below procedures. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Indicator lights: Yellow - SafeSense® active Yellow flashing - SafeSense® not active Make sure head is on basket correctly Set to Reverse (R) for 2-3 seconds Alternate slowly back and forth Set to Off (O) and unplug Gently pull uncut paper from paper entry. Plug in. Set to Reverse (R) Wait 15 minutes for motor to cool down Remove and empty basket ATTENTION: If the SafeSense® light remains on, you must engage the (See SafeSense® instructions below. ) Override Switchinordertoperformstepsabove. Oncethejamiscleared, resettheSafeSense® feature. Sensor light illuminated­paper jammed 15 SafeSense® paper jam: If the SafeSense® feature activates (SafeSense® light remains on) to cause the user tothinktheshredderhasjammedwhenithasnot, usethe Override Switch to deactivate the SafeSense® feature and clear the paper. Warning ­ when switch is in override position, the SafeSense® light will flash and the SafeSense® feature will NOT function. Once the paper is cleared, reset the SafeSense® feature.
