Connecting Your Printer
Make sure your printer is not plugged in and your computer is turned off. The interface cable must be an IEEE 1284 compliant bidirectional parallel cable, and must be shielded and UL and CSA approved. Plug the interface cable into the parallel socket in the printer. Plug the other end into your computer.
2. Plug the power cord into the printer, then into a grounded outlet.
3. The Ready light comes on.

1. If "New Hardware Found" prompt appears, click "Driver from disk provided by hardware manufacturer, " then click OK. Setting Features in the Online Operator Panel
The printer menu displays printer defaults which you can modify. To change a default setting, select the appropriate tab. Point to any item on a display to see a pop-up explanation.
Select paper feed source-- standard tray, manual, or optional tray.
Set print resolution, Select printer emulation, paper darkness setting. orientation, lines per page.
Set power save mode, toner save feature.
Print demo page, menu setting list, font list, cleaning page.
Set memory options.
Adjust print position, reset drum counter, select display language.

Section 3: Printer Maintenance
Replacing the Toner Cartridge
1. Open the cover and remove the used toner cartridge. Shake the toner cartridge to evenly distribute toner.
2. Unwrap the new cartridge (Part 52107201).
4. Peel tape off the bottom.
For highest print quality, we recommend using genuine Okidata consumable products in your page printer. We cannot control the manufacturing and operating characteristics of non-Okidata toner cartridges or assure the resulting print quality.
