The remaining recording time is displayed during recording and the self-timer lamp blinks. You can do the following in the recording screen:

1 Set the Power switch to "w". 2 Press "d" or "c" to select a frame (still image) with an attached voice memo. Frames for which the ";" icon appears in the "R" button position on the display panel have an attached voice memo. 3 Press the "R" button to play the voice memo.

1 The playback time is displayed on the LCD monitor. 2 Press the "W " to "T " buttons to control playback.
When the time remaining reaches 5 seconds, the self-timer lamp starts blinking quickly.

Mistakenly erased frames (files) cannot be recovered. Copy important frames (files) that should not be erased to a PC's hard disk, etc.

i PROTECTING AND UNPROTECTING ALL FRAMES

1 Set the Power switch to "w". 2 Press the "MENU/OK" button to display the menu.
Protection is a setting that prevents images from being accidentally erased. However, "FORMAT" erases all images, regardless of a "SET ALL" setting (P. 74).

Removes the protection from all the frames (files).
!G If you select "¡BACK", the camera reverts to playback mode
without erasing the frames (files).

Protects all the frames (files).

If ". . . " appears, press the "MENU/OK" button again to erase the frame (file).

Press the "MENU/OK" button to protect all the
frames (files).
N To stop the procedure mid-way N
To cancel the ERASE ALL operation, press the "BACK" button. Of the unprotected frames (files), some frames (files) will be left unerased.

the erase all operation is canceled immediately, some frames (files) will still be erased.
