[. . . ] Before using your new WTR-7, please read this manual thoroughly and use the system properly and safely. After reading this manual, store it in a safe place. Usage Precaution WARNING The instructor and the student must be within 10 meters or 33 ft. [. . . ] The chart below shows how the WTR-7 is to be used. Usage condition: The student's transmitter MUST - be in the 7ch mode of FASST such as T6EX, T7C, TM7, TM8's 7ch-mode, TM10's 7ch-mode, TM14's 7ch-mode, etc. - have the micro connector trainer port. The instructor's transmitter can be any type of Futaba's transmitter which has the micro connector trainer port. (It means that the instructor's transmitter can be FASST, conventional FM-PPM, PCM1024, or PCM-G3. ) LED on the WTR-7 will be on green solid when the link is established. Unplug the WTR-7 from the student's transmitter. Red Solid Off Off Receiving signals Receiving signals but ID is unmatched Unrecoverable failure (EEPROM, etc. ) Status No signal reception LED Indication Green Off Solid Blink Blink alternately Trainer function operation 8 Plug the WTR-7 to the instructor's transmitter. · Fix the WTR-7 to some place on the instructor's transmitter in order to prevent it from becoming unplugged and dropping off the transmitter. Within 10m (33ft. ) FASST-2. 4GHz, FM-PPM PCM1024 or PCM-G3 FASST-2. 4GHz (7ch-mode) CAUTION The connection cable is specially made for the WTR-7 thus it MUST not be used for any other purpose. 9 Turn on both transmitters. 10 Check the airplane's control surfaces to make sure you have proper operation. WTR-7 (Instructor) · Link the WTR-7 to the student's transmitter beforehand. Operation Step (Student) Preparation · Be sure that the student's transmitter is on FASST 7ch-mode if it's selectable. · For utilizing the T14MZ or T12Z as the student. Please set the trainer mode to "Teacher" in order to get power to the WTR-7 for linking. Other settings for the trainer usage are same as the conventional usage.
