Never use distilled water; use only demineralized water. â· If the steam generator or iron falls or otherwise receives an impact, or does not function properly, take it to an authorized Gaggia service center for assessment by a qualified technician. When first used, the iron may emit impure fumes or steam; this is due to the evaporation of substances in the component materials. We recommend that you leave the iron and steam generator on the highest temperature for several minutes and then aim the steam jet at a clean rag before beginning to iron your clothes. â· Ironing quality may be optimized by varying the amount of vapor output depending on the type of fabric to be ironed by turning the steam control knob (11).
