[. . . ] The Present tab displays all games in the room you are currently in. The Preferred Games tab shows only games that match certain criteria set by you. You can, in this window, choose to only seek games on a certain map, or certain types of multiplayer games like Last Man On The Hill. This is useful if you are looking to quickly join a specific game type. When you press the Prefs button you're presented with a dialog with which you can specify the following game options: Game Name Useful if you know the name of the specific game you are looking for. Contents 41 Myth II: Soulblighter Preferred Map Click this box if you'd like to specify a preferred map. Once you've selected this check box you will be able to choose your favorite map from the list. Preferred Game Type Click this box if you'd like to specify a preferred game type (Territories, Capture The Flag, etc. ). Once you've selected this check box you will be able to choose your favorite game type from the list. Allies Lets you specify games that allow allies or games that don't allow allies. For this and all of the below options you can also select a third option, "don't care"­ saying you don't care will ignore this setting in the game search. Unit Trading Lets you specify games that allow unit trading or games that don't allow unit trading. Time limit Allows you to set the length of the game. Multiplayer games can be a maximum of 90 minutes. Planning Time If this box is checked, players will have an additional amount of time to scope out the map and plan their strategy. You can increase or decrease the length of the planning time using the arrows to the right of this option. The maximum planning time is ten minutes. Allow Unit Trading During Planning Time If this box is checked, players will be allowed to exchange the units they start with for more desirable units. See the Unit Trading section for more info. Allow Veteran Units From Last Game If this box is checked, surviving units from your most recent multiplayer game will join your force in the next multiplayer game. This can be a real boon if the units have built up a great deal of experience. Veteran units will only be allowed if the map and players stay the same as the previous game. Allow Alliances Checking this box gives you the ability to ally with Contents 44 Bungie Software Products Corporation other players during the course of the game.
