Software Installation Insert the setup CD into the CD-ROM drive of the PC or Notebook used for configuration. NOTE: 64-bit WEP is the same as 40-bit WEP The lower level of WEP encryption uses a 40-bit (10 character) "secret key" (set by the user), and a 24-bit "Initialization Vector" (not under user control). Filters can provide a degree of security and improve network performance by eliminating broadcast/multicast packets from the radio network. The MAC Address Filter contains the MAC address of every wireless device allowed to associate with the access point. This prevents unauthorized access to network resources.
