AUTOMATIC Follow these steps to use the 8-Scene Editor to assemble the best scenes from your home movies. 1 I N S E R T S O U R C E TA P E Insert your source tape (original footage) in Deck 1. Make sure the tape has a record safety tab. For best quality, use blank or pre-formatted tapes. 3 OPEN MAIN MENU Press MENU. 4 SELECT "RECORD/EDIT SETTINGS" press 3 EDITING Press 3. The VCR will save the ending counter position of this scene. · To clear the end point, press CLEAR once. · To clear the begin point, press CLEAR again. 9 ADD MORE SCENES (OPTIONAL) Repeat Steps 6-8 to store up to 8 total scenes. 1 0 A S S E M B L E T H E TA P E NOTE · While there are scenes in the Edit List, you cannot eject the source tape in Deck 1 with the remote. Press COPY TAPE. The VCR will automatically copy all marked scenes in order from Deck 1 to Deck 2. When this processed is finished, repeat Steps 3-10 to add additional scenes. 8 - Edit 23 EDITING Follow these steps to edit your tapes manually using the COPY TAPE button. 1 POWER C BEFORE YOU BEGIN -- TA OPY P · Turn off EZ Copy; see page 11. · Turn off Auto Play; see page 13. 2 INSERT SOURCE TAPE E VCR Plus+ SLOW TV/VCR 1 4 2 TRK­AUTO­TRK 3 6 SKIP Insert your source tape (original footage) in Deck 1. 3 INSERT TARGET TAPE 5 8 0 VCR MANUAL REPEAT 7 100+ SELECT ·TV 9 SEARCH/INDEX Insert your target tape in Deck 2. Make sure the tape has a record safety tab. 4 C U E S O U R C E TA P E SCENE/TITLE TV VIEW ·VOL ·MUTE ·CH ·LCV DECK1 DECK2 Press the DECK 1 key, then use the deck control keys (PLAY , STOP , FAST-FORWARD , REWIND ) to position the source tape at the start of the desired segment. Stop or pause the tape at this position. 5 C U E TA R G E T TA P E MENU REC STILL/ F. ADV Press the DECK 2 key, then use the deck control keys to position the target tape where you wish copying to begin. Stop or pause the tape at this position. 6 S TA R T E D I T I N G SP/SLP AUDIO DUB CLK/CTR CLEAR DISPLAY VIDEO DUB V RE FW D Press COPY TAPE. · The "Copy" indicator will light on the front panel display and the VCR will begin copying from Deck 1 to Deck 2. 7 PAUSE EDITING Press COPY TAPE again to pause. · The "Copy" indicator will blink on the front panel display. 8 R E P O S I T I O N S O U R C E TA P E Press the DECK 1 key, then use the deck control keys to reposition the source tape at the start of the next segment. Stop or pause the tape at this position. NOTE 9 RESUME EDITING · Skip Edit - Skip Edit allows you to remove commercials in 1-5 minute blocks while copying a tape. When the commercials start, press SKIP once for every minute of commercials to be deleted. The Dual-Deck VCR will automatically pause the copy, fast-forward 15 minutes, and resume copying. · Leave at least 15 seconds of blank tape at the beginning of a tape to ensure a crisp edit. Repeat Steps 6-8 to add all desired scenes from Deck 1 to Deck 2. · When finished, select Deck 2, then press STOP . · To automatically edit out commercial segments in 1-5 minute blocks, see note on "Skip Edit" or see "Commercial Free Copy" on page 31. 24 Dual-Deck VCR User's Guide AUDIO/VIDEO Follow these steps to dub new audio and/or video tracks over your prerecorded tapes. 1 INSERT TAPE Line 2 Insert the tape you wish to dub in Deck 2. 2 POSITION TAPE Play the tape to the point where you want to begin dubbing and press STILL/ F. ADV. 3 A C T I VAT E A / V D U B M O D E To dub from the microphone or a device connected to the rear line 2 input. If you have connected BOTH a microphone AND another source device to the rear A/V inputs, the Dual-Deck VCR will ONLY recognize the microphone as Line 2. Who is Protected This warranty protects the original consumer owner of this Sensory Science product. What is Covered and How Long This warranty covers internal operating parts and service/labor to repair or replace covered parts in this Sensory Science product for 90 days labor, 1 year parts, from the date of purchase, defined as follows: (1) Original Consumer Retail Purchase; (2) First Rental Purchase Agreement; or (3) First Lease Purchase Agreement (the "Warranty Period").
