Press OSD/SETUP to exit the Setup Menu [Letterbox]----The full width of the picture is displayed on a standard 4:3 television, but black bars appear above and below the picture. [Full Screen]----The full height of the picture is displayed on a standard 4:3 television, but some left/right detail is lost as the movie "pans and scans" to keep the most important action on the screen. [Widescreen]----The picture fills the screen of a wide-screen (16:9) television. Note: Not all DVDs offer movies in Full Screen format. Press RETURN or - to return to the Setup Menu 2 Select [Digital Out] , and press ENTER or + to display the [Digital Out] submenu : Language Video Digital Out Audio Bitstream Rating Other PCM Bitstream Off Press to change your selection A . Press OSD/SETUP to exit the Setup Menu [PCM]----digital audio output in PCM (pulse code modulation) format; use for stereo or CD playback. ¡ñ When a CD or VCD is playing (with PBC off), press the 0-9 keys to Select a track directly, then press ENTER to confirm. SLOW FWD 7 ¡ñ During DVD, VCD or SVCD playback, press SLOW FWD for slow motion playback. ¡ñ Once you press SLOW FWD, the disc will play at 1/2, 1/4, 1/6 and 1/7 normal speed as follows: 1/2 1/4 1/6 1/7 ¡ñ Press PLAY to resume normal playback. PREV/REV 8 / ¡ñ During DVD, CD or VCD playback, press PREV/REV once to play the previous chapter, title or track. ¡ñ During DVD, CD or VCD playback, press and hold PREV/REV to scan in reverse. The player will review the disc at 2, 4, 8 and 20 times normal speed as follows: X2 X8 X4 X20 ¡ñ Press PLAY to resume normal playback. NEXT/FWD 9 / ¡ñ During DVD, CD or VCD playback, press NEXT/FWD once to play the previous chapter, title or track. ¡ñ During DVD, CD or VCD playback, press and hold NEXT/FWD to scan forward. The player will cue the disc at 2, 4, 8 and 20 times normal speed as follows: X2 X4 X8 X20 ¡ñ Press PLAY to resume normal playback. -24- Remote Control Operation SEARCH 10 SEARCH Advanced Features Use the number keys to input the desired [Time], [Relative Time] or [Title/Chapter] then press ENTER to confirm. CD VCD SVCD 00:28:08 Track Search Time Rel-Time --:--:---:--:-- Notes: ¢Ù During CD playback, press SEARCH to display the [Track Search] menu, and press it again to display the [Disc Search] menu. ¢Ú During VCD and SVCD playback (with PBC off), press SEARCH twice to display the [Disc Search] menu. DVD 00:28:08 Search Time Rel-Time Title/Chapter --:--:---:--:--- / -- Notes: ¢Ù Time searches for an exact time in the movie. Relative time searches relative to the current counter position ¢Ú In [Title/Chapter] mode, you cannot enter a value outside the range of the total number of titles/chapters. . ¢Û When searching with [Rel-Time], press and hold "0" to change [Rel-Time] to negative (to search backward). ¢Ü For some DVD discs, the Search function is unavailable. -25- Remote Control Operation Advanced Features CLEAR 11 CLEAR ¡ñ Press CLEAR to delete numbers you have entered. ¡ñ Press once to delete one digit.
