SWT4 software users can do the same within a Web browser. For live broadcasting, the MEDIAEDGE system can utilize the real-time capabilities of its encoding devices to transmit live external HDMI or SDI video sources as professional-quality MPEG-4 (H. 264) streams to multiple clients. Using this feature, the system can retransmit television and satellite feeds. Such content, once MPEG encoded, may also be recorded to a server on the network for later viewing or scheduling. MPEG-2 SD/HD video is also available when you combine the ADVC-HD50 with the LSB or the ADVC-HDM1 with the LSB.

MEDIAEDGE-LEB4 Video Encoder
Working as a separate solution or in conjunction with a MEDIAEDGE-SVS server, it encodes HD or SD sources from either SDI or HDMI inputs into an MPEG-4 (H. 264) data stream, and can instantly rebroadcast the stream using an internal streaming server.
You can also use the MEDIAEDGE-LEB4 encoder to process video from a remote location, such as a video library, and then deliver the content to a MEDIAEDGE-SVS4 server based within a datacenter. The content is recorded and then ready for distribution across a MEDIAEDGE network. As well, you can combine a MEDIAEDGE-LEB4 encoder, server, and software clients and/or STBs.
