You can record television programmes on the built-in hard disc of the HDD DVD recorder, a DVD+RW/-RW or DVD+R/-R. With the time shift function you can watch television programmes with a time shift which are stored in the time shift memory. You can stop these programmes and continue playback at the same point. Note: If this message is not confirmed, the HDD DVD recorder continues recording on the disc. 67 ENGLISH COPYING RECORDINGS__________________________ Setting the copy mode There are three ways you can copy data onto a disc. ­ »To the disc« ­ the recording is adapted to the disc depending on the recording quality and the playing time in the memory. If the HDD DVD recorder recognises that the recording will not fit onto the disc, the quality and the length of the recording is changed. Other functions are not possible while it is copying. ­ »High Speed« ­ this mode lets you copy at double speed and simultaneously playback from the HDD archive or the time shift function. Cleaning discs Wipe the dirty disc with a cloth from the centre outwards in a straight line. Do not use any solvents such as benzene, thinners, conventional cleaner or anti-static spray for vinyl records. Do not use a cleaning CD, as it might damage the laser of your HDD DVD recorder.
