If run with the installed rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries, use the supplied mains adapter J as a charger. Check whether the mains voltage given on the rating plate of the mains adapter matches the local mains voltage. The appliance is not disconnected from the power supply until the mains adapter is disconnected. Function 1 Trim beard . . .
. . . using the wide blade side B and the telescopic comb attachment H . 2 Carefully push comb attachment H onto the blade until it latches into place. The numbers on the telescopic comb attachment must be visible on the back of the appliance. Please note that you can only use the telescopic comb attachment if you are using the wide blade side B . 3 Set the required beard length after cutting at the cutting length adjustment switch I of the telescopic comb attachment. The numbers 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 are values in millimetres. 4 Now switch on the appliance with switch A and start cutting your beard. Move the appliance against your beard's direction of growth and ensure the telescopic comb attachment remains in contact with your skin at all times. Do not move the appliance too fast.

. . . using the narrow blade side C without the telescopic comb attachment. Please note, in this mode you cannot use the telescopic comb attachment H supplied with the appliance!The narrow blade side is for precise use on small areas.

1 Ensure the appliance is switched off. 2 Remove comb attachment: Release the comb attachment by gently pressing both fingers on the side release buttons and then lift it from the top. 3 Remove blade: Hold the blade or attachment on its sides and turn it to the left until it releases.
4 Attach blade: Rotate the blade by 180° to the new cutting position. Fit the blade into the housing and lock it by moving gently to the right while gently pressing down.
