[. . . ] If you adjust the volume as you would for conventional audio sources, you may experience sudden high increases in volume. Especially when listening with headphones, you should avoid high volume levels as these can cause damage to your hearing. Press the STOP button to end CD playback. The CD player also stops when ­ the end of the CD is reached, ­ the batteries are weak or the electricity supply is interrupted, ­ the function switch is moved to another position. Note Only CDs with the following symbol can be played back on your CD player: Set the function switch to CD. Press the OPEN/CLOSE contact surface on the lid of the CD compartment in order to open it. Forward Skip Function Each time you press the button, the next track number appears on the display and playback starts at the beginning of the selected track (the pause function remains activated). If you have accidentally skipped over the desired track, press the to skip back to this or any other track. Example: If you want to skip from track 3 to track 5, press the button twice.
