ANSWERING MACHINE ________________ Remote advance query Note The remote query must have been activated, see the "Answering machine settings" chapter on page 30. Using the remote advance query function you can quickly check ­ at no cost ­ whether there are new messages on your answering machine. If there are new messages, the answering machine responds after a maximum of 5 rings. If there are no new messages, the answering machine only responds after 8 rings, which means you can hang up after the 6th ring. For information on activating this function, see the "Settings, active after" chapter on page 31. Remote query TAD Remote query Note: The remote query must have been activated, see the "Answering machine settings" chapter on page 31. ON You can query and operate the answering machine from an external telephone connection. If the answering machine is switched off and the remote query function activated, the (external) call is taken after 90 seconds.
