This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are unable to insert the plug into the electrical outlet, try reversing the plug. Remove all contents from the box, being careful not to discard the manual and hardware needed for assembly. Pass the power cord through the channel of the stand, and firmly clasp the two halves of the stand together. Insert the base into the bottom of the housing being careful to align the corresponding holes. Gently turn the fan upside down, with the top of the fan touching the floor. Screw the stand into the bottom portion of the fan housing (fig. 1), by using the 2 thumb screws that come with the fan. Screw the stand with the bases by 4 screws (fig. 2) and finally, fix the bases by the rest of the screws (fig.
