This is for the oils and the coolants to settle and level off. After a normal shut down wait for 3 minutes before restarting the unit so as to complete the compressor cycle. Use an 115v /15 amp outlet for the air conditioner. Do not use any other electrical appliances on this line or you may trip the fuse. Use a dedicated line for this air conditioner. Do not place the air conditioner in direct sunlight or close to any heating appliances (eg. Keep the unit free of any obstructions such as drapes, curtains, blinds, etc. Keep unit at least 1 foot away from the wall. Check and clean the filter once every week for highest efficiency. If the unit is not being used for a long period of time, remove the plug from the water drain pipe and drain out any condensed water. CONTROL PANEL OPERATIONS 1. Timer Control - Timer Settings 1-8 Hours If you turn the dial to CONT this will override the timing control and the unit turned to the Off position. By turning the dial to one of these numbers the unit will turn off automatically when the dial to one of these numbers the unit will turn off automatically when the dial returns to the position. Fan Speed Control - Fan/Cooling This dial operates in FAN ONLY or COOLING modes to set fan speed. Cooling Control - Turn clockwise to CONT for maximum cooling position This dial sets the desired cooling temperature and will turn the compressor off automatically once the desired temperature is reached, the fan will continue running. When the room temperature rises the compressor will come on and resume the cooling operation. If you turn the dial fully clockwise to CONT this is maximum cooling position.
