Remove sound unit and close fabric fastener on doll securely before washing. [. . . ] Place doll in pillowcase and tie end closed. Machine wash separately, gentle cycle (cold water, mild detergent, no bleach). Tumble dry promptly in pillowcase, low heat setting. Be sure to position sound unit with battery door facing back of doll. TO REPLACE BATTERIES Open fabric flap on doll's back and pull out sound unit. Use a Phillips/cross head screwdriver (not included) to loosen screw in battery compartment cover (screw remains attached to cover). Replace with fresh 2 x 1. 5V "AA" or R6 size batteries. Replace cover, tighten screw, and reinsert sound unit into doll. IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION CAUTION: 1.
