To see the question and answer choices again, press REPEAT/SCORE. The timer will stop while the question repeats. Use the ANSWER BUTTONS to make your answer choice. Your choice will be displayed on the top line of the screen. [. . . ] If your unit becomes unresponsive, or difficult to read, the batteries may need to be replaced. Using a Phillips® screwdriver, loose the screw from the battery compartment door on the back of the unit. Using a sharp, non-metallic item, remove the existing batteries. Insert 2 LR44 batteries making sure that the "+" is facing you. Replace battery compartment door and tighten screw.
If you want to change your answer, press a different ANSWER BUTTON. If it IS your final answer, press ENTER. If you answered correctly, "YOU'RE RIGHT!" will appear on the screen. You will be awarded the prize money for the question. The screen will display the next question level and you will advance to the next level.
SCREW
Play will continue in this way until you answer incorrectly, choose to go home or answer the $1, 000, 000 question. If you answer a question incorrectly, "SORRY INCORRECT" will scroll across the top line of the screen, followed by the correct answer choice (A, B, C or D). Your "TOTAL PRIZE MONEY" will scroll across the screen to announce your total winnings for the game and the game is over. If you have not confirmed your FINAL ANSWER before the timer runs out, OUT OF TIME will scroll across the screen and the game will be over.
The game will display the correct answer, your SCORE, the HIGH SCORE and then prompt you to play again.
SCORING
Your score is based on the value of the questions answered correctly. Scoring is NOT cumulative, but is broken down into three plateaus -- $1, 000, $32, 000, $1, 000, 000.
