Microphone If you try to set a password and your diary cannot or did not recognize it, your guard pet will make an unhappy sound to let you know no password was set, and the diary will open. To try again, or to RESET your password use a paper clip to press the RESET button. Then follow the directions from the beginning. OPENING THE DIARY Press the ON button and wait for your diary to say, "Password, please. " Say your password. · If your diary recognizes the correct password, your guard pet will make a happy sound, and the diary will pop open. · If you say the incorrect password ­ or you say nothing at all -- you have two more chances to try again. If the password is still incorrect, your guard pet will make an unhappy sound and the diary will not open! TROUBLESHOOTING FOR OPENING THE DIARY If the diary opens without asking "Password, please, " this is a result of the password not being set properly. Press the RESET button and re-enter your password. PSST! This is a secret: if you forget your own password, press and hold the ON button for about 10 seconds and the door will pop open. USING YOUR DIARY TM TM Your diary comes with a pad of 20 sheets and stickers for decoration. TM Press the button inside your diary, and your pet will interact with you. When you are done using your diary, be sure the door clicks shut when you close it. And remember: don't tell anyone your password! Remove your pet from the top of the diary and play with it!
