Position the appliance on a horizontal work surface. Before switching on the appliance, check that there is water in the reservoir. To fill the water reservoir use only fresh, clean water, never use sparkling mineral water, demineralised water, distilled water, milk or other liquids. While refilling the reservoir, switch off and disconnect the appliance from the mains. The presence of water in the used capsule drawer is normal and is due to the emptying of the circuit at the end of each dispensing operation. We recommend you use original Polti products only, as products of other brands may not be suitable for use in Polti products and could cause damage. - Let the appliance cool down before cleaning it. • Plug the power lead (7) into a suitable socket with an earth connection. • Switch on the appliance by pressing the power switch (6) (fig. The red light of the switch/indicator will come on (3). WARNING: • The first time you use the appliance, it is important to carry out a wash cycle as described in the paragraph “MAINTENANCE”. • Whenever the machine is turned on, it is recommended to brew only water for a few seconds, without introducing any capsules, so as to stabilise the temperature and clean brewing parts. • After the first time the green light comes on, coffee can be regularly dispensed even if the red switch/indicator light (3) is on. The alternation of the red or green light is due to the normal heating cycle of the boiler. the position suggested by the shape of the latter. • ATTENTION: the capsule is pushed automatically into the compartment by closing the lever (1) pushing it all the way down.
