Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.
[. . . ] It must not be exposed to direct heat sources (ovens, fireplaces, stoves, etc. ) which could raise the temperature of the cylinder above 50°C. Built-in appliance Gas and mixed hobs are manufactured with type X degree protection against overheating; it is therefore possible to install the appliance next to kitchen cabinets which are no taller than the worktop. The following precautions must be taken when installing the hob: Kitchen cabinets which are adjacent to the appliance and taller than the top of the hob must be at least 600 mm from the edge of the hob. [. . . ] When the installation process is complete, make sure that the seals for the gas circuit, the internal connections and the valves are in perfect condition, using a soapy solution (never use a flame). Make sure that the connection hose cannot come into contact with moving parts which could damage it or crush it. Make sure that the natural gas piping is suitable for supplying the appliance when all the burners are operating. To perform connection for liquid gas (in a canister), fit a pressure regulator which conforms to standard UNI-CIG 7432-75 and subsequent modifications. 8
To adapt the hob to a different type of gas other than the default type (indicated by the label placed on the upper part of the hob or on the packaging), the burner nozzles should be replaced as follows: Remove the hob grids and slide the burners off their seats. 7) using a 7 mm socket spanner, and replace them with nozzles for the new type of gas (see table 1 Burner and nozzle characteristics). Once this procedure is finished, replace the old rating sticker with one indicating the new type of gas used. Stickers are available from any of our Technical Assistance Centres. Setting the burners to minimum While the burner is lit, turn the tap to its minimum setting. 8) and use a screwdriver to finetune the adjustment screw inside the tap pin, until the flame is small but steady (the minimum setting will increase if the screw is loosened, and will decrease if it is tightened). : if the appliance is connected to liquid gas, the adjustment screw must be fastened as tightly as possible. For models fitted with a safety device, the knob should be held down for approximately 2-3 seconds, until the automatic device keeping the flame alight has heated up. When using models with an ignition button, light the desired burner by first pressing the gas burner button (identified by the symbol), then pressing down the corresponding knob as far as possible and turning it in an anti-clockwise direction, towards the maximum setting. Some models are equipped with an ignition device which is built into the knob; in this case the ignition device is present but the ignition button is not. To light the selected burner, press down and turn the corresponding knob, then turn it an anti-clockwise direction until it reaches the maximum setting. Keep it pressed down until the burner has been lit successfully. If the burner flame is accidentally extinguished, shut off the control knob and wait for at least one minute before attempting to light the burner again. To switch off the burner, turn the knob in a clockwise direction until it stops (position marked by the symbol). Practical advice on using the burners
To ensure the burners operate efficiently: Use cookware which is suited to each burner (see table) in order to prevent the flames from extending beyond the base of the pans. Always use cookware with a flat base and a cover. When the contents of the pan reach boiling point, turn the knob to the minimum setting. Burner A Auxiliary B Semi-rapid C Rapid D Triple ring (wok) Cookware diameter in cm between 6 and 14 between 15 and 20 between 21 and 26 between 24 and 26
To identify the type of burner, please refer to the diagrams contained in the paragraph entitled Burner and nozzle specifications. [. . . ] It is usually sufficient simply to wash the hob using a damp sponge and dry it with absorbent kitchen towel. The removable parts of the burner should be washed regularly with warm water and soap, ensuring any stubborn residue is removed. For hobs which light automatically, the terminal part of the electronic instant lighting devices should be cleaned frequently and the gas outlet holes should be checked for blockages. Stainless steel can be marked by hard water that has been left on the surface for a long time, or by aggressive detergents containing phosphorus. [. . . ]
