Setting the spin speed  To avoid excessive vibrations, before every spin cycle the machine distributes the load in a uniform manner by continuously rotating the drum at a speed which is slightly faster than the normal washing speed. When, despite repeated attempts, the load is still not evenly distributed, the machine spins at a lower speed than the set frequency. If the load is excessively unbalanced, the machine attempts to distribute it instead of spinning. The balancing attempts may extend the total duration of the cycle, up to a maximum of 10 minutes.
