Measuring out the detergent carefully will avoid accidental spills and help to protect the environment: although they may be biodegradable, detergents contain elements that alter the balance of nature. We recommend: • the use of powder detergents for white cotton garments and for pre-wash phases; • the use of liquid detergents for delicate cotton garments and for all programmes which run at a low temperature; • the use of liquid detergents for wool and silk.  Do not use detergents when washing garments by hand, because they create too much foam. we recommend that you use a powder detergent. Stubborn stains: stubborn stains should be treated with solid soap before the garment is washed (use the Cotton programme with pre-wash phase). Load-balancing system Before every spin cycle, to avoid excessive vibrations and to distribute the load in a uniform manner, the drum rotates continuously at a speed which is slightly faster than the normal washing speed.
