The unit automatically pauses when the microphone does not pick up any sound for 3 seconds or more. (Pause function does not work for approximately 10 seconds after a recording starts. ) When the microphone picks up sound again, recording starts automatically.

Move the M button toward or to select the recording sensitivity and press it.
H (High): Recording starts when the unit detects -24 dB or more (the unit can start recording from quiet sounds). L (Low): Recording starts when the unit detects -12 dB or more.

Hold down the REC button for 2 seconds or more.
You can perform the same operation by simply pressing the REC button on the main unit.

To perform group recording, hold down the GROUP button for 1 second or more so that "GROUP" is lit.

Notes: z If the unit starts recording too often from low unwanted noises, set the microphone input to "L(Low)". z Recording sensitivity can be changed whilst recording.

Press the MODE button repeatedly to select the recording mode (page 29). The group-recorded MD contains the menus that cannot be edited if the group mode has been cancelled. Select the group mode before editing.
