1.  [. . . ] Adhere pad to side of the box,  overlapping the stud and all edges of the box. ­ When drywall is installed: fix pad into gap between electrical cabinet and gypsum board slightly overlapping the inner wall board surface. ­ When drywall will be installed later: overlap front edge of electrical cabinet so that CP 617 will be compressed around edges of box as gypsum board is installed. Reshape CP 617 to fit around conduit or cables. Press CP 617 to all sides of electrical box. Trim excess at corners and apply to conduit fittings connected to the box. To help prevent passage of cold smoke,  CP 617 may optionally be placed into inside of electrical conduit fittings.
