The family also supports Logical Block Address (LBA) and extended Cylinder Head Sector (CHS) addressing modes. The Deskstar 16GP and Deskstar 14GXP family of disk drives offers average seek times of 9. 5 milliseconds, while the 16GP family offers sustained data rates of up to 12 MB per second and the 14GXP offers sustained data rates of up to 13 MB per second.
