Insert 4 new D-size batteries, referring to the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. Note: Before installing batteries, ensure that the radio is disconnected from the mains supply. If you are not going to use the radio for an extended period, please remove the batteries to avoid damage. Never mix old and new batteries.
DAB Mode
1. Then your radio will go into DAB mode, or the last selected mode (ie: DAB or FM or AUX). If you want DAB mode, touch until DAB Mode appears.

How to search DAB Radio Stations Automatically
2. Touch for Autotune Quick scan.
For initial use in DAB mode, your radio will now scan for DAB stations in your area and store the DAB stations in memory. A slide bar is displayed on the LCD, indicating the progress of the scan. Touch and hold
for Autotune Full scan.
The radio will now perform a Full scan and store the DAB stations in memory. A slide bar is displayed on the LCD, indicating the progress of the scan. Once the scanning is completed, the DAB station name list will be displayed in alphanumeric order. The first station in the list will be selected. Turn the Tuning Knob to cycle through available stations, when your desired station appears, stop turning, your radio will tune to the selected station.
Note: If no DAB signal is found in your area, it may be necessary for you to relocate your radio. Alternatively, visit http://www. ukdigitalradio. com/coverage to check that DAB coverage is available in your area.

Finding and Adding New DAB Stations
Touch and hold on the display. until Autotune Full scan appears
The radio will scan the DAB channels and add any new stations available to the station list.
How to search DAB Radio Stations Manually
1. Touch and hold to enter Manual Tune.
2. Display will show the current channel number and frequency. Turn the Tuning Knob to step between the channels, when the desired channel appears, stop turning.
Note: If there is a multiplex corresponding to this channel number and frequency the display will show the multiplex name, and a tuning meter showing the signal strength.
3. Touch
again to exit.
To Show the Signal Strength in DAB mode
Repeat touching until the LCD screen display shows a signal bar with the strength of the current station.
Note: The indicator on the signal bar shows the minimum required signal level. Touch and hold one of touch pad Preset # stored displayed on the LCD. You may repeat step 1 until all 4 presets are full.
Selecting a Preset DAB/FM station
1. [. . . ] Touch and hold
once to increase by 1 minute; touch to increase faster;
2. Touch and hold
once to decrease by 1 minute; touch to decrease faster;
Alarm will be activated once the preset time passes. Touch any button to deactivate it.
3. Alternatively, repeat touching decrease Timer to 0.
