Make sure that a cassette is not inserted. Press and hold the NAVI button on the remote control and then press the TAPE NAVIGATION button on the VCR. Choose the programme for demonstration by pressing TAPE NAVI 5 or button. Press the PLAY or STOP button to do immediate demonstration. Otherwise, the set will automatically go to next demonstration step after 5 minutes. To release demonstration mode, press and hold the NAVI button on the remote control and then press the TAPE NAVIGATION button on the VCR. Note: The TAPE NAVIGATION button on the VCR will flash during demonstration mode.

To attach a genre mark to the desired programme Press the or cursor button to select the programme, and press the cursor button to select the suitable genre mark. Press the cursor button to delete the genre mark. Note: The genre mark can also be delete or attached by pressing the NAVI button. Press the or button to delete or to attach the genre mark.

Caution display menu
This VCR has a memory capacity of 200 programmes. If the memory is full or does not have enough free space to store any more tape data, the on-screen display will show caution messages when you start recording. When more than 90% of the memory has been used If you press the REC button, the CAUTION message will appear on the TV screen.

Press the MENU button. [. . . ] If the safety tab is removed then playback will start immediately. If not, press the play/still (6) button and the picture will appear on the screen.

IMPORTANT: Insert the cassette squarely into the VCR. Push the cassette until the machine carries the cassette in itself. Never force a cassette, in as this may damage the mechanism.
