Lubricate all "rubber" components of the seal prior to installation. Lubricate with vegetable oil,  plain water or a solution of (50% maximum) "dish soap" and water. Petroleum-based or silicone-based lubricants are not to be used as they may adversely affect the "rubber parts. " [. . . ]  [. . . ]
