INSTRUCTION SHEET For ROTOR- MODULE AIR GAP
The rotor module air gap must be set correctly to insure proper performance of the ignition system.  [. . . ] Anytime the module mounting screws have been loosened or the rotor is remounted,  the air gap should be set as follows: 1. Turn the rotor so that the rotor magnets are facing away from the module core legs. Insert a . 015" non-metallic feeler gauge (Homelite Part # 22486),  making sure that the . 015" shim covers both module core legs. Turn the rotor until the two magnets are adjacent to the module core legs,  drawing the shim and module towards the rotor.  [. . . ] Remove the air gap shim.
