14 Cleaning the pre-motor filters For optimum performance clean the HEPA pre-motor and foam pre-motor filter after each dust container empty. (14a) Rotate the pre-motor filters cover anticlockwise. (14b) The HEPA and foam pre-motor filters and the vortex tube are attached to the lid. 16 Exhaust filter maintenance The exhaust filter requires little or no maintenance and should only need checking if there is a drop in performance. To access the exhaust filter,  remove the dust container from the cleaner (16a). Press the filter release button to release the exhaust filter (16b and 16c).
