Cleaning and Routine Maintenance . [. . . ] Each press of the Wash Temp button reduces the temperature of the wash. Greater energy savings can be achieved by setting the temperature between 15°C and 40°C. By setting the temperature to 15°C the wash temperature is equivalent to the water inlet temperature, thus reducing energy consumption further. We recommend that the temperature shown on wash care garments should never be exceeded. The machine will not accept a temperature input that is higher than that stated in the programme guide. 21

Selecting the Drying Programme
The Hoover Sensor Washer Dryer gives many options for drying the laundry to suit all circumstances. Drying may be completed as a separate programme selected using the Programme Selector (High Dry/Low Dry) and the Drying Option button. It may also be completed as part of an automatic Wash'n Dry programme by selecting the desired wash programme using the programme selector and the drying programme via the Drying Option button. The table below lists the programmes and the function of each programme. For tumble drying select the appropriate drying programme via the drying option button. For drying cotton fabrics select the High Dry option and for synthetic fabrics select the Low Dry option via the programme selector. For automatic drying following a wash programme the machine will automatically select the correct drying temperature (see programme guide page 28). To select the drying programme as part of a Wash'n Dry or as a separate programme press the Drying Option button, the display will indicate the first Auto Dry programme 'EXTRA DRY'. Continue to press the button to select other options (see table). After the automatic programmes the display will indicate a fixed drying time. By continuing to press the button the time will be reduced by 10 minutes for each press of the button.

Select the degree of dryness that you require. This ranges from Extra Dry for bath towels and bathrobes, through Cupboard Dry for items that will be put away without ironing, to iron dry that leaves the laundry suitable for ironing.
Timed Drying Programmes
Drying Time in 10 minute steps
Dryer will operate for the time selected including 10 minutes of cooldown.
Do not mix cottons and synthetics to avoid damage to the laundry. Note: If the drying time is selected before the wash cycle is completed the machine will automatically commence the drying programme. Refer to the Programme Guide to identify which drying programme will be automatically selected after the wash programme. To protect your laundry certain programmes (eg Silk) cannot be followed automatically by a drying programme. The drying time can be reduced at any time during the cycle but cannot be increased. 22
Cancelling or Changing the Drying programme
To cancel the drying programme press the Drying Option button for more than 5 seconds, 0 will appear on the display following this action. [. . . ] Remove the plug from the mains power supply socket. Carefully move the machine so the rear of the machine is accessible. Please follow the safety precautions which we recommend under the Safety Notes section of this manual. Unclip the drain hose from the rear panel of the machine and lower the hose into a bowl on the floor. [. . . ]
