Keep this instruction manual in a safe place for future reference. Should the appliance be sold, transferred or moved, make sure the instruction manual accompanies the washing machine to inform the new owner as to its operation and features. Read these instructions carefully: they contain vital information on installation, use and safety. Levelling your appliance correctly will provide it with stability and avoid any vibrations, noise and shifting during operation. [. . . ] Temperature will not be displayed; the recommended temperature will be displayed instead (60°C and 40°C respectively). Temperature, press the button again until 90°C appears on the display. Press the button and you will see the word OFF on the display, while the relative symbol flashes. The detergent dispenser is located inside the tub; to access it the door must be opened. Special items
Curtains: fold curtains and place them in a pillow case or mesh bag. Wash them separately without exceeding half the appliance load. Use programme 9 which excludes the spin cycle automatically. They can be washed together with jeans and other tough garments, but not with whites. Compartment 1: Detergent for pre-wash (or bleach if carrying out the bleach cycle) compartment 2: Detergent for the wash cycle compartment 3: Additives (fabric softeners, etc. )
When closing the door, the detergent dispenser closes automatically. Do not use hand wash detergent because it may form too much foam. woolmark Platinum Care
As gentle as a hand wash. Hotpoint/Ariston is the only washing machine to have obtained the prestigious Woolmark Platinum Care Plus mark of recognition (M. 0505) from The Woolmark Company, the organisation that certifies the machine washing of all woollen garments. 8 - Wool - can even be used to wash , and garments whose labels specify "hand wash only" guarantees optimum performance levels while providing complete fabric care. 13 - Woollen blankets - can be used to wash large items made using pure virgin wool (not pile), for example blankets, quilts, etc. The programme also enables products of this type whose labels specify "dry clean only" P to be washed, and offers the best performance levels while guaranteeing complete fabric care. You should, however, check that the description "machine washable" is present on the label of any items made using pile before washing them in the machine. 40

Pour the bleach in compartment 1; the detergent and softener in the respective compartments, then set programme 4. This option is recommended only for very soiled cotton garments.
