This feature effectively expands the size the Windows desktops extending beyond a single monitor. In addition to the USB and ACPI support mentioned above, Windows 98 supports additional new hardware features including IEEE 1394, Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP), and DVD. Multiple Display Support Support for New Generation of Hardware Some of the new features with Windows 98 have particular appeal to some commercial notebook users. However, all features of Windows 98 are not supported across all Compaq notebook families. In addition, some Compaq unique features are not supported across all notebook families under Windows 98.
