Removing and Replacing the CTFT (8. 4 inch) Display Shield To remove the CTFT (8. 4 inch) display shield, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect all power from the computer and remove the AC Adapter and battery pack (Section 3. 2). Open the computer.

3. Remove the display bezel (Section 3. 21).
4. Remove the inverter board (Section 3. 21). Remove the display cable and backlight cable from the inverter board (Section 3. 21).

6. Remove the CTFT (8. 4 inch) panel from the display enclosure. Refer to "Removing the CTFT (8. 4 inch) Display Panel" in this section. Remove the remaining five screws from the display shield (Figure 3-125).
8. Lift the display shield up and away from the display enclosure (Figure 3-126).
9. To replace the display shield, reverse the previous steps.
Removing and Replacing the Display Ground Cable To remove the display ground cable, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect all power from the computer and remove the AC Adapter and battery pack (Section 3. 2).
