rotating photos
You can use the media receiver to rotate photos for proper viewing on your TV. Press the options button and select Rotate Photo 3. Rotate the photo 90 degrees left or right, or 180 degrees if the photo is upside down. The photo will be rotated for viewing.
organizing your photos
Photos are organized by the folder directory they appear in, and by their filename. To create a photo album, create a folder in the shared directory on your computer. Copy your photos into the new folder and your album is complete. For more help with organizing your photos, see "organizing photo albums" on page 19.

7 network setup
running the setup wizard
Running the setup wizard is the easiest way to configure your network settings. The setup wizard runs the first time you power up your hp digital media receiver. You can run the setup wizard again at any time if your network settings need to be changed. From the home screen, press the options button and then select Run Setup Wizard from the menu. Alternatively, press the options button and select Network Setup to manually configure your network settings. The following sections describe the possible network setup options. cable attaches to the media receiver, and the other end attaches to your PC, a hub, or a router. Note: See the "glossary" on page 49 for a list of common network terms. To determine the proper network setup of your media receiver, you will need to know what kind of wired network you have.

If you have a single PC and you connect to the internet with a phone line, chances are you do not have a network. At a minimum, you will need a network interface card (NIC) for your PC, or a USB-to-802. 11b dongle. You can then attach the media receiver to your PC. See "wired with cross-over cable" on page 39. If you have a single PC and you connect to the internet with a cable or DSL modem, check your modem connection. If the modem has only one network jack, you still don't have a network.
