Changing detect dial tone Normally, the HP LaserJet 3100 product waits for a dial tone before attempting to dial a fax number. If you are using the HP LaserJet 3100 product with a PBX system and the HP LaserJet 3100 product is not dialing out, the PBX system may be generating an unusual dial tone that the HP LaserJet 3100 product cannot detect.
