For some programs, you may want to begin recording before the scheduled beginning and after the scheduled ending of the program. To manually record a program or series from Recorded TV: 1 2 3 4 Press the Start button on the remote control, select My TV, Recorded TV, and then select Add Recording. Enter the channel number using the numeric keypad on the remote control. Select the + or ­ buttons and then press OK on the remote control to scroll through choices and enter the recording frequency, date, start and stop times, storage, and quality options. To set the recording and return to the Settings window, select Record in the window, and then press OK on the remote control. To return to the previous window, press Back on the remote control. Recorded TV programs that have been copied to a DVD can be played on your PC and on some DVD players. To enable Media Center to resolve recording conflicts, you can set up how program recordings are handled. When you try to record a program or series and another is scheduled at the same time, Media Center asks you which program you want to record. For more information about troubleshooting the recording conflicts, refer to Media Center Help. n Changing Recording Settings or Resolving a Recording Conflict 1 2 Press the Start button on the remote control, select My TV, Recorded TV, and then select Scheduled. To move through the list of scheduled recordings, use the arrow buttons, select a program you want to change, and then and press OK on the remote control. You have different options, depending on what type of recording you have set. 3 Select Record or Don't record in the window and then press OK on the remote. In the Recorded TV History window, you can: Find out which programs were recorded and which were canceled. Display errors for scheduled TV programs. The program may have been in conflict with another and then canceled by Media Center, or it may have been a duplicate episode in a series. Sort recorded programs by date, status, or name.
