No More Than Sixteen Simultaneous Active Browser Connections EVM V2. 0D supports up to sixteen simultaneous active browser sessions, meaning that up to sixteen different users can actively use the EVM GUI at the same time. The overhead associated with updating more than sixteen sessions results in excessive Management Appliance memory use and a decrease in overall GUI responsiveness. Local Browsing on the Management Appliance Is Not Supported Browsing to the EVM GUI from the Management Appliance using the locally installed browser is not supported. This limitation includes running the Management Appliance browser via a Terminal Services session. Security Timeout May Require a Browser Refresh Security for Web access to the Management Appliance is provided by the HP OpenView OSM software running on the Management Appliance. CAUTION: Make sure that no EVM jobs are running before stopping the EVM server to prevent the possible loss of data on BCVs. MOUNT Is Not Supported as a Stand-alone Function The MOUNT operation is intended to be used with Business Continuance Volumes (BCVs) that are created in the same job. Trying to use MOUNT with a device that is not an EVM-created BCV or with a BCV that was created by a different EVM job is not supported. Adding or changing license information requires restarting the EVM server before EVM can recognize these changes. Large BCVs on busy storage systems can take several hours to delete. Typically, during this time frame, another BCV of the same source vdisk cannot be created. Account for this limitation when planning EVM job operations. In some cases, this may cause the EVM GUI to display the "Loading EVM Data!" message indefinitely.
