[. . . ] ·Update, Delete, and Close buttons: When you double-click on a shaded block in the calendar, the Event dialog box appears with Update, Delete, and Close buttons. The Update button enables you to apply any changes to the selected event. The Delete button lets you delete the event. Click Close to close the dialog box with or without making changes. ·Past Events dialog box: This box is activated when you click on an event that has occurred in the past, allowing you to view the schedule for past events. To configure the number of days to save past events, go to the config. properties file and modify the "DaysToSavePastEvents" entry. The default for this variable is 30 days. ·Change Priorities button: Click Change Priorities to display the Event Priorities dialog box. ·Event Priorities dialog box: This box allows you to resolve conflicting events. To do so, select the event, and then click an empty row. The event will automatically move to the new row. Click Save in the scheduling screen to enable the priorities to match the new order of events. ·A row of five buttons: Copy, Paste, Clear All, Undo, and Save. 42 Application Policy Manager Caution Click Save before changing to another screen or any changes you have made will be lost. Using the Scheduling Screen The Scheduling screen gives you the ability to create and prioritize schedules for groups. You can configure APM's settings to accommodate and prioritize scheduled group operations, such as backups, making remote copies, or performing maintenance. For example, if you have a Backup group that is typically low priority and a Production group that is typically high priority, you may want to specify a high-priority policy for the Production group during daylight hours and then give the Backup group the high-priority policy during nighttime hours. The Calendar panel provides a graphical display of the schedule for the group that is currently selected in the Groups list box. The calendar displays temporary priority events in green. The names of the policies will appear in the first block of time. If you have any conflicting events, they will be displayed in red. Double-clicking on a shaded block will bring up the Event dialog box that describes that event. If you double-click on an event that has already occurred, the Past Events dialog box will appear. You can use the Scheduling screen to perform the following actions: · View the current schedule for any group · Create a new event or modify an existing event · Delete an event · Change the priority of scheduled events · Copy one group's entire schedule and paste it onto another group · Clear all events from a group's schedule · Disable or enable scheduling of policy changes · View past events the scheduling screen 43 Viewing Schedules To view the schedule for a group, select the group from the Groups list box. [. . . ] If the processes of the entire array are above the threshold, all Caps are enforced. If the processes of the array are below the threshold, the Caps are relaxed. The threshold feature is not supported in Application mode. Unassigned Group: A Group that cannot be deleted to which all members are initially assigned. [. . . ]
