Description The HP StorageWorks Performance Advisor XP (PA XP) software is a web-based application that enables you to collect and monitor real-time performance data from the HP StorageWorks family of XP disk array products. The simple browser-based interface of PA XP enables you to customize performance data collection and set performance alarms. PA XP provides real-time and historical data on the following: · LDEV I/O · Front-end and back-end utilization · Internal bus utilization · Cache usage This release notes discusses the new features and enhancements introduced in PA XP 3. 4, and the known limitations in this release. Devices supported The PA XP software supports all HP XP disk arrays. New features This section discusses the new features introduced in PA XP 3. 4. Support for XP24000 array · The number of LDEVs per Logical DKC is 65536. [. . . ] · Maximum database size is 64 GB. · Incremental interval of database size is 2 GB (automatically increased). · Incremental interval of database size is 1 GB (manually increased). · Cache size is 10% of the database size. · Minimum cache size is 400 MB and the maximum cache size is 2 GB. Others · XP24000 cache partitions are supported in addition to XP10000, XP12000, and XP20000 cache partitions. 6 · Reports can be displayed in the RTF file format. Patch related information Following are the patches included in PA XP 3. 4 release: Patch PA XP 3. 3-1 Description This patch provides a fix for the following defect: the usergrp command fails even if the specified CU:LDEV exists. This patch provides a fix for the following defect: PA XP logs the error, "SOLID Table Error 13039: Illegal assignment from type DOUBLE PRECISION to type SMALLINT" in the Event log file. As a result, data collection fails for both Inband and Outband data collection processes. This patch provides a fix for the following defect: The hour of the Day report is configured to display the collected data points across time intervals in a 24-hour format. However, because of this defect in Windows Server 2003 SP2, some scenarios may fail if the application attempts to access the library file in the System32 path. For example, the RAID type is not displayed on a IA 64 bit Windows 2003 SP2 system.
