To reduce the risks of fire, keep the silencer and the area around the fuel tank free from leaves and oil. If the petrol tank needs emptying, do this in the open air and with the motor cold. Never store it with petrol in the tank, in a place where petrol vapour might reach a flame, a spark or a source of strong heat. Wherever you store it, let the motor cool down first. [. . . ] Do not use blades of greater than 320 mm diameter or with a tilling width greater than 850 mm. Make sure there are no obstacles behind you, and reduce speed before engaging gear.
