Pack wheel bearings thoroughly with grease before installing. Fill wheel hub cavity between bearings approximately 2/3 full with grease. To adjust wheel bearing, raise wheel off floor, tighten item 16, nut, while rotating the wheel, until there is a slight bind to be sure all bearing surfaces are in contact. Then back off nut 1/6-1/4 turn to nearest locking hole or sufficiently to allow wheel to rotate freely within limits of . 001". 010" (ref) end play. Lock nut at this position by installing cotter pin. Fill cap 3/4 full with grease then press into wheel hub. Do not fully spread item 24, cotter pin, for quicker adjustment of washers.
