During VFO operation, the transceiver automatically memorizes operating frequency information, separate from regular memory channels, when transmitting on a new frequency. There are 2 types of scratch pad memories, those for simplex operation, L1­L5, and those for duplex (repeater) operation, R1­R5. These memories can be conveniently recalled. The oldest written frequency is cleared.
