[. . . ] Some computers require removing the computer's face plate as well as the cover to access the drive bays. Refer to the documentation that came with your computer if the removal procedure is unclear. Verify that the SATA data cable included with your REV drive will reach the drive bay. If other drives in the computer (such as the CD-ROM drive) use mounting rails, you may need similar rails for the REV drive. 25" drive bay, you might need to attach mounting brackets. If the drive is securely held in place by rails, you will not need to use the mounting screws. NOTE: If your computer does not allow clear access for connecting cables to the drive when it is in the bay, connect the power and data cables before securing the drive. NOTE: For best performance, use the cable that shipped with the drive. NOTE: The SATA controller must support removable media devices to work correctly with the REV SATA drive. Check with the manufacturer of your SATA controller if you encounter problems. Connect a power supply cable from the computer to the drive. NOTE: If a SATA power supply cable is not available, use the power adapter cable included with the REV drive to connect to a 4-pin power connector. Check all cables to make sure that the connections are tight. Replace the computer cover, connect the power cord and restart your computer.
